Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has criticized the Democratic Party and its leadership for taking a hard stance against Israel while anti-Semitism is rising on campuses across the country.
During an interview with Fox News on April 21, Mr. Cruz said the anti-Israel movement on college campuses and the Democratic Party “are intertwined.”
“It was Chuck Schumer who stood on the Senate floor and demanded that the elected leader of Israel be thrown out of office. That’s never happened in the history of the Senate before,” Mr. Cruz said. “It was Joe Biden who orchestrated a resolution at the UN effectively condemning Israel for not having an immediate ceasefire. It was Nancy Pelosi who signed a letter saying, cut off military funds to Israel.”
