On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was grilled by reporters over President Biden's claim"> that the wall along the United States-Mexico border doesn't work.
Members of the press asked why the commander-in-chief had contradicted members of his own administration, who have stated that a barrier is necessary, and questioned why he was violating his campaign promise by allowing a section of the wall to be built.
"The president just told me that a border wall does not work," a reporter began, asking, "If that's the case, why does his own Department of Homeland Security secretary say in a public notice 'there is a presently an acute and present need to create physical barriers'?"
