Trump’s comments came during an interview with Fox News personality Sean Hannity. He was boasting of his ability to keep the Taliban in check and keep U.S. soldiers safe, in contrast to the disaster that came with the Biden administration.
The former President recalled a conversation he had with the terrorist group’s co-founder Abdul Ghani Baradar. Baradar is now Afghanistan’s deputy prime minister.
“Under my conversations with Abdul, who’s the leader of the Taliban, for 18 months, we didn’t lose one soldier,” Trump bragged, adding that he told him he’d “obliterate” him if he failed to follow orders in their negotiations to withdraw.
Hannity asked, “Didn’t you at one point tell him, ‘I know exactly where you are,’ and give him the exact coordinates where he was?” Hannity asked.
“No, I sent him a picture of his house,” replied Trump. “He said, ‘But why but why do you send me a picture of my house?’ I said, ‘You have to figure that one out.”
Trump continued to relay how his threat to obliterate the Taliban leader was a show of strength that the terror organization took seriously.Donald Trump threatened to obliterate Afghan leader during tense talks while he was president then followed up by sending the Taliban member a live satellite photo of his HOUSE#Donald #Trump #Afghan #leader #talks #president #Taliban #member #satellite #photo pic.twitter.com/RCPqXUFn7p

“I said, ‘If you do anything, we’re going to hit you harder than any country has ever been hit,'” Trump claimed.
The tale was peppered with the usual bombast and jabs at President Biden that we’ve all come to expect. And it is pretty hilarious.
“He said, ‘I understand, your excellency.’ He called me ‘your excellency’ — I don’t know if he calls Biden” that, the former President said.
