Senator Ted Cruz has joked fellow Senator Elizabeth Warren 'might have a penis' because 'in today's Democrat Party, how do we know she doesn't?'
Speaking to around 1,500 supporters at the seventh annual Basque Fry in Gardnerville, Nevada, Cruz told supporters: 'We need courage responding to crazy town.

'Elizabeth Warren told reporters that a guy came up to her and said, ''I would have voted for you if only you had a penis''.'

Cruz accused Warren of making up the story. He went on: 'In today's Democrat [sic] Party, how do we know she doesn't? How could you possibly know? 'My name is Elizabeth, call me Bob, this is my beer.'

The 2016 Republican presidential candidate's comments were met with raucous laughter. The clip was flagged by activist Lauren Windsor on Twitter.
