Kamala Harris speaks at church with pastor who cheated on Bravo Housewife

After committing a series of gaffes that insulted Christian voters, Kamala Harris attempted to repair her image by attending the church of a serial cheater and womanizer, despite intense focus on her own husband's indiscretions. On Sunday, Harris both attended services and spoke to the congregation. She praised Pastor Jamal Bryant’s New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and those in attendance, who sang to her to honor her birthday. The church has hosted five presidents, Bryant said.

Over the weekend, Harris came under fire after Christians at her rally shouted "Jesus is lord" before being escorted out. As they left, Kamala's said “You are at the wrong rally” as the crowd cheered. That response went viral. In her speech to the congregation, she spoke about the parable of the good Samaritan in the gospel of Luke. Sh said the parable teaches the faithful to "love thy neighbor as thyself," but then said "one must ask are all people of faith living those words? Are all people of faith expressing those words in their actions? Do we have leaders in place who understand that in the face of a stranger one should see a neighbor?" Harris spoke about her own faith as well, a topic that does not come up much on her campaign trail.
