House GOP investigates Fani Willis’ relationship with J6 witness Cassidy Hutchinson

The House GOP Oversight Subcommittee wants records from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis about an alleged interview her office conducted with Cassidy Hutchinson, a former White House aide in the Trump administration and key witness for Nancy Pelosi's Jan. 6 Select Committee. Hutchinson testified that Trump attacked a Secret Service driver on January 6, 2021, while driving from the site of the rally at the Ellipse to the White House. Hutchinson said she heard that Trump tried to force the driver to go to the Capitol. This testimony was then debunked.

The subcommittee reportedly obtained messages that prove Willis' office attempted to contact Hutchinson, though it's unclear what was discussed. Congressman Barry Loudermilk, chairman of the subcommittee, penned a draft letter obtained by the Daily Caller, that requests DA Willis submit all communications her office has with Hutchinson.

"I write to you today to request your cooperation in my investigation into the security failures at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021. Based on information recovered by this Subcommittee, we have reason to believe that your office interviewed Ms. Cassidy Hutchinson, who also provided testimony to the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol ('Select Committee')," wrote Loudermilk.
