‘Hard to Ignore!’ NBC’s Steve Kornacki Tells Kristen Welker That the Polls Show ‘Meaningful Movement’ Towards Trump

NBC numbers guru Steve Kornacki presented Meet the Press viewers a series of new polls Sunday morning that he said were collectively “hard to ignore” as they showed former President Donald Trump pulling ahead.

Kornacki explained that each of four new polls he presented did not show Trump running away from Vice President Kamala Harris. But he said together they told the story of a tight race potentially slipping away from Harris.

Welker brought Kornacki aboard and asked him to explain the polls, which showed Trump either leading or tied with Harris. He explained:

“One thing we have noticed in the last couple of days, this is not all of the polls that are out there now, but we have seen a number – four in the last four days – that have shown very small, but in the context of this close race, potentially meaningful movement in Trump’s direction. I don’t want to overstate it, but at the same time, it’s hard to ignore these four.”
