Governor Abbott deploys Tactical Border Force to South Texas as Title 42 ends

The closer we get to May 11, the more Governor Greg Abbott ramps up his criticism of Joe Biden and the Biden border crisis. Texas is on the frontline of the wave of migrants about to crash over the border with their claims of asylum and arrogant sense of entitlement to the generosity of American taxpayers.

The Biden administration is not prepared to handle the coming disaster. A measly 1500 troops deployed to El Paso is not anywhere near the number of troops needed to help get the situation under control. Governor Abbott said that Biden should have called up 15,000 or 150,000 troops to do the job.

Those 1500 troops are mostly assigned to administrative duties, expediting the processing of migrants. They are not to be used in a law enforcement kind of capacity. They won’t deter illegal immigration at the border, they will assist in making the process easier for those apprehended.

Since Biden is unwilling to send the personnel needed to the border, Governor Abbott deployed a new National Guard unit. They boarded C-130 aircraft in Austin and traveled to El Paso and other hotspots along the Rio Grande River. Abbott called them the Texas Tactical Border Force. The elite unit carry M-16 rifles and wears tactical gear. “They will be deployed to hotspots along the border to intercept, repel and to turn back” migrants who cross into Texas without legal authorization, Abbott said.
