Chuck Schumer shows off Father’s Day grill skills with post of raw burger patty topped with cheese—deletes after backlash

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) deleted a photo of a raw burger patty and cheese with him at the grill after he was slammed online for making the cooking error.  

Schumer posted a photo of himself in front of a grill with burger patties and hot dogs and wrote, “Our family has lived in an apartment building for all our years, but my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time we’re having a barbeque with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill! Father’s Day Heaven!” 

However, social media users were quick to notice the piece of cheese on an uncooked patty and slammed the Brooklyn-based senator for his poor grilling skills. 

Some drew comparisons to a seemingly staged picture of New York Governor Kathy Hochul in front of a BBQ last summer. 

“Chuck Schumer is 73 years old. Remarkably, he has yet to master the art of grilling a simple burger. Nonetheless, some people inexplicably have faith in his leadership and believe that his Democratic Party thinks gas stoves are bad for the planet, but gas grills are fine,” one user remarked.
