BREAKING: Trump to debate Biden on CNN in Atlanta June 27

Joe Biden and Donald Trump will participate in their first debate of the 2024 election cycle on June 27 live on CNN in Atlanta.

Trump told Fox News’ Brooke Singman, "I’ll be there," and that he was "looking forward to being in beautiful Atlanta."
 
The debate will air from the Atlanta studio at 9 pm.


Two Biden campaign sources told CNN that the debate will take place in the studio without a live audience.

The Biden campaign is seeking to have the microphones muted unless it is the speaker’s turn.

This comes after repeated back and forth between the two, with Trump first calling out Biden to debate "anytime, anywhere, anyplace."

In a campaign ad posted by Biden, he agreed to debate Trump. He later told CNN that he wanted to debate in June and September.
