Biden-Harris admin withdraws Secret Service protection for RFK Jr. after he suspends campaign, endorses Trump

The Secret Service will no longer provide security for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as of Sunday after the independent candidate announced he was suspending his presidential campaign and throwing his support to former President Donald Trump, the New York Post reported. The two officially joined forces Friday during a campaign rally with Turning Point Action in Arizona.

"Law-enforcement sources told The Post on Sunday that his Secret Service protection was ending after his bow-out, and the agency later confirmed it," the Post said. A rep for the agency told the outlet  "That’s correct. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is no longer receiving US Secret Service protection."

Kennedy had publicly and privately asked for Secret Service protection throughout most of his presidential campaign, noting that both his father, Attorney General Robert Kennedy, and his uncle, President John Kennedy, were victims of assassins. Kennedy’s legal team reportedly claimed to have evidence of at least 34 threats against the candidate.
