In response to a series of violent attacks on Tesla properties across the U.S., Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that some of the suspects have been charged with multiple counts of arson and domestic terrorism.

The charges stem from the defendant's alleged involvement in using Molotov cocktails to destroy Tesla vehicles and damage charging stations at multiple locations.

The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” said Bondi. "Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.

Three suspects, who were arrested in separate incidents, face serious criminal charges that carry penalties ranging from five to 20 years in prison. Prosecutors didn't disclose the names of the defendants facing federal charges.

The first defendant mentioned in the news release from the Justice Department was arrested in Salem, Oregon. The suspect is accused of throwing approximately eight Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership. Authorities revealed that the individual was also found in possession of a suppressed AR-15 rifle at the time of arrest.
